Frequently Asked Questions

Here are the answers to some common questions. If you want to know about something not on this list, please Email Us!

eCommerce websites like Amazon sell advertisements, and in order to show those ads, the items most relevant to your search are pushed to the back of the search results. This means that customers like you can't easily find or sort by what you want, and sellers have to buy ads which means they spend less time and money making good products.

We are planning a launch in 2027, but first we want to know how much interest there is in a service like this. If no one wants it, we won't spend our time on it. Be aware also that we are not using LLMs or Generative AIs, because quality and attention to detail are very important to us. That means that it takes time to make new features, but you can be assured that everything we build will be excellent. We take pride in what we make.

Excellent question! Short answer: there will be a paid tier. We will allow anyone to have access to Searchazon for a limited number of searches, and if you want to do more searches than that you would have to pay a small flat monthly fee. Since we're not selling ads, you're not our product: you're our customer. We care about our customers but we do need them to pay for the service that we provide, just like any other business.

At launch: Amazon. They are one of the most widely used eCommerce websites and sell tons and tons of advertisements, making their search incredibly difficult to use without a service such as Searchazon. After our initial launch, if there is sufficient interest, we will consider adding support for other eCommerce websites like Alibaba, Temu, eBay, and others.

We completely understand not wanting to go to a different website just to do a search. Our plan is to provide product detail pages and shopping cart functionality directly on Searchazon, only directing you to the eCommerce store when you are ready to check out. You can think of Searchazon as an alternative frontend to websites like Amazon.

We are also considering the possibility of creating browser extensions to replace ad-laden search results with our ad-free search results directly on eCommerce websites, but unfortunately recent changes to the browser extension ecosystem might make this more difficult. We might not be able to make this type of extension for Google Chrome.
